What is Masonic Week?
While active since 1932, the annual event known as Masonic Week first convened in Washington, D.C., on February 21, 1938. Since then, it has met continuously in the Washington D.C. metro area nearly every year. The event brings together several small and invitational orders of Freemasonry that host their annual meeting and other events during the week. Several of these organizations provide representatives to the planning committee which oversees the arrangements and schedule. Being the largest of the organizations, the Grand Council of the Allied Masonic Degrees of the United States of America, has served as the lead organizer since the inception of the event.
